The Big Picture
For us, accreditation standards aren’t just boxes to tick – they’re part of who we are and how we farm. They show, through real evidence, that our animals are well cared for, our products are safe and fully traceable, and our land is managed responsibly for the future.
We take pride in doing things the right way because it reflects our values – respect for our animals, care for our environment, and trust with our customers and partners. These certifications are our way of proving that commitment, every step of the way.
Holding accredited status opens doors to new markets and stronger partnerships with processors who share our standards. But more importantly, it gives our customers confidence that the meat they’re buying is genuine, safe, and raised with integrity and care – from our farm to their table.

NZ Farm Assurance Accreditation Programme (NZFAP)
We achieved accreditation under the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme (NZFAP) following an audit conducted by QCONZ on 9 April 2024 - Certificate No: 905653, issued on 7 May 2024 and valid through to 10 April 2027.
This national programme sets high standards for farms across the country, confirming that our livestock and land management meet recognised international benchmarks for animal welfare, food safety, traceability, biosecurity, and environmental sustainability.
Earning NZFAP accreditation is a strong endorsement of our commitment to responsible, high-quality farming. It provides independent assurance that our livestock and products are raised following best-practice principles - including the Five Freedoms of animal welfare - so consumers here and overseas can trust that our produce is safe, ethical, and sustainably managed.
Being NZFAP-accredited also positions us to meet changing global market requirements, connect with premium supply chains, and streamline auditing processes across farm assurance programmes. Most importantly, it highlights our role in strengthening New Zealand’s red meat and wool sectors through integrity, care for the land, and a continual drive for improvement on behalf of our people and community.
Greenlea Special Raising Claims Standard
We achieved certification under the NZFAP Greenlea Special Raising Claims Standard following verification from QCONZ, (Certificate No: 9436833-15), issued on 25 November 2024 and remains valid through to 25 November 2027. The Greenlea “Clip On” Standard is an additional assurance pathway aligned with the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme (NZFAP). This certification demonstrates that we uphold the verified animal raising and welfare practices required by Greenlea Premier Meats.
Global Animal Partnership Standard
We're thrilled to share that our farm has earned certification under the 5-Step Animal Welfare Rating Standard for Sheep, after a thorough audit by Livestock Integrity Solutions Australasia Pty Ltd on 1 December 2025 (Certificate No. 25464). Issued on 3 December 2025, it's valid until 2 March 2027.
Holding a Step 4 Rating means our sheep enjoy pasture-grazing year-round under the G.A.P. 5-Step Standard. This covers every stage - from breeding and growing to finishing - with practices that meet top animal welfare benchmarks.
Together with our New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme and the Greenlea Special Raising Claims accreditation, this milestone reinforces our commitment to sustainable production, strengthening both market access and confidence in the integrity of our farm and building trust with our customers, retailers, and partners.
Farm Policies and Procedures - Quality Assurance!
We care deeply about the way we farm, the people we work with, and the land that sustains us. Our goal is to produce quality livestock in a way that supports our community, protects the environment, and strengthens our operation for future generations.
Policy Review and Improvement
All farm policies are reviewed every three years to ensure they remain current, relevant, and compliant with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Policy Purpose and Guidance
Clear, practical policies help us stay organised, fair, and consistent in our work. They guide daily decision making and support continual improvement in how we farm, care for livestock, and protect our whenua.
Collaboration and Community
We value open, respectful communication with everyone involved - our team, whānau, partners, and community. Their ideas and feedback shape the policies that guide us and reflect our tikanga and shared values.
Commitment to Excellence
Together, these quality focused policies create an integrated framework that defines, plans, audits, reviews, and evaluates our standards. This framework supports compliance and excellence across every area of our operation - from animal welfare and environmental stewardship, people development, bio-security, asset management to health, safety, people and community wellbeing.
