Unlocking Opportunities for Pukerewa Station

The fund is to pay for a detailed planning and transition project called “Unlocking Opportunities for Pukerewa Station,” aimed at lifting farm performance while supporting environmental, cultural, and economic goals for the whenua.

Main project outputs

• Full suite of farm maps (slope, soils, land-use classes, erosion, elevation, hillshade) plus future-scenario and retirement maps.
• Farm system models and comparison reports, including GHG and water quality impacts and financial outcomes, with hui validated recommendations on the preferred pathway.
• A detailed FY27 transition plan, implementation timeline, and implementation support through project management and site visits.
• A final summary and recommendations report on pathways for Pukerewa Station’s lower emissions and long term development journey
